Partnerships manager (Maternity Cover)

£30-35k depending on experience.

The role

As Partnerships Manager you will take a lead role within Parent Zone’s Partnership function, managing and delivering some of our most exciting and fast paced partner projects.

You will be responsible for driving all activity under the projects you’ll be managing, including working closely with our clients and providing exceptional partner care. You will also contribute to delivering the function’s operational plan and understand the role

that the Partnerships function plays in the overall organisational strategy. This role is perfect for anyone who has prior experience in working with and managing clients, possesses exceptional organisational and communication skills, enjoys working

on interesting - yet challenging - projects and is looking for an opportunity to work in one of the most fascinating spaces for families.

While the majority of this role will allow you to work from home, you will be expected to work from our London office during part of the week, as well as at other key moments of the year.

Skills and experience


  • You will have experience of working with clients and will understand the essential ingredients to building special relationships with partners.
  • You will possess superb organisational skills and have a keen eye for detail.
  • You will be able to run multiple projects at one time, and know how to build a project plan and timeline.
  • You will be able to monitor key performance indicators and be comfortable using data to track performance.
  • You will notice when things are at risk of going ‘off track’ and be able to pivot to bring projects back in line.
  • You will understand how to set out meeting agendas, lead external and internal meetings, and recap and follow through on next steps.
  • You will be a confident communicator who is able to work in a small, dynamic team.
  • You will take a proactive approach to tasks, and enjoy using your initiative.


  • An understanding of the challenges families face raising children in a digital world.

Head of Public Affairs


The role

Our Head of Public Affairs will play an important role promoting our policy positions, building relationships with key opinion formers and ensuring that we are influencing the public debate in order to improve outcomes for children. 
Working as an integral part of our project teams - including partnership projects -  the post holder will leverage opportunities to deliver real public affairs impact. Amplifying our projects and acting as a critical friend to deliver messages to key opinion formers on behalf of families.

  • You will build relationships with policy makers and a broad range of key opinion formers.
  • You will work closely with our communications function to amplify our positions and develop coherent campaigns.
  • You will track key policy initiatives and develop responses and positions. 
  • You will work alongside colleagues in our partnerships function to manage partner commitments and programmes. 

Capabilities and experience

  • You will have experience of public affairs and or policy work.
  • You will be ready to take on line management responsibility and be able to provide guidance and support to junior colleagues.
  • You will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to build and maintain relations with a wide range of people.
  • You will have knowledge of government and an understanding of policy making.
  • You will have the ability to promote Parent Zone to a range of audiences and be a confident public speaker.
  • You will be well organised with a strong eye for detail. 
  • You will be able to draft policy responses and communicate clearly and effectively in writing. 
  • You will be comfortable working for a growing social enterprise working with colleagues to build the infrastructure and iterate processes to make them work for the whole organisation.
  • You will be able to sell your ideas internally and externally influencing the debate to shape the digital world and public policy.
